Day 170: Dried Roses

Day 170: Dried Roses

It’s been a few months since the wedding, and my wife’s wedding bouquet is completely dried. I thought I would take a picture of it.

Day 169: Pendulum

Day 169: Pendulum

A wall clock at the office with a swinging pendulum beneath it.

Day 168: Red Carnation

Day 168: Red Carnation

A red carnation among the other flowers in the bouquet that I got for my wife for her birthday.

Day 167: Office Bubblegum

Day 167: Office Bubblegum

Bubblegum in a vending machine in the office (the kind that takes in quarters).

Day 166: Butterfly (and its Tongue)

June 15th, 2010
Day 166: Butterfly (and its Tongue)

I’ve been seeing this tiny butterfly hanging out on the tables at the back of the office for a few days already, but I never had my camera with me. This time, I did.

It’s actually quite colorful when it opens its wings, where the patters are. Its wings’ underside looks pretty drab, making me initially think that it might have been a moth, but I don’t think moths need a tongue that long.

Day 165: Nightfall at the Office

Day 165: Nightfall at the Office

The sun was setting, and I was still in the office. This shot was taken from the building’s atrium.

I mistakenly shot it in the wrong white balance, but it looked better with that setting, so I just used it.

Day 164: The Fist

Day 164: The Fist

We had a couple of friends over for dinner. Afterwards, I thought I’d see what would happen if I use my UWA lens in close quarters.

Day 163: Morning Cereal

June 12th, 2010
Day 163: Morning Cereal

My wife and I thought we’d indulge our inner children a little, so we got a small box of fruit loop cereal. While eating, my wife suggested I take a picture of it, and so I did. This may be the first time I’ve had a daily photo this early in the day.

Day 162: Dying Dragonfly

June 11th, 2010
Day 162: Dying Dragonfly

A big dragon fly. It must have been 3 inches or longer. It was, however, dying. It was trying to fly off, but just couldn’t. I suspect it fell victim to insecticide that I saw some lawn care workers spraying around the perimeter of the office buildling the day before.

Day 161: Instant Pond

June 10th, 2010
Day 161: Instant Pond

A strong summer afternoon storm bore down on us, but it went as quickly as it came. The sudden downpour was too much for the sewer system to handle, and for about half an hour, we had a pig bond in the parking lot.
